The Book of Life

Greeting you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Friends, you may hear or read about the Book of Life but are you serious about it? If you are serious about your soul and your name to be written in the book of life, then this post is for you.

The Book of Life is described in Revelation 20:12 “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books”.

Revelation 20:15 "And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

The most important place your name could ever be written is in this book. How can you make sure your name is included in the Book of Life? This takes place by believing in Jesus Christ as Savior: Ephesians 2:8-9 said "8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.". We could see that no amount of works can earn a spot in the Book of Life. It is a gift that comes through faith in Jesus. Once we believes in Jesus Christ, we become an overcomer and will never have our name removed from the Book of Life: Revelation 3:5 says, "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels." A proper understanding of the Book of Life serves as a great encouragement to us and as a great warning to you if you are yet to believe Christ. We the believers can take comfort in knowing our salvation is secure, our future is in heaven, and our eternity is with Christ. Make sure your name is written in the Book of Life or if not, you are encouraged to believe in Christ today. Otherwise, eternal doom awaits if your lives end without salvation in Christ.
